Joaquin Meza

Dolores

Joaquin Meza, the owner of the family-run restaurant, Dolores, seeks to offer a transgenerational taste experience rooted in the Meza family story. Named for Joaquin Meza’s paternal grandmother and inspired by the flavors of his mother, Dolores showcases the artistry, knowledge, and culinary abilities of his family and the Oaxacan region of Mexico. Offering daily handmade tortillas from fresh corn shipped from Mexico, moles laboriously crafted from scratch, and an abundance of mezcals each with its own story, Dolores transcends the commercialized narrative of Mexican cuisine and instead constructs a different story at the intersection of modernity and heritage.
